(MPIC) and head of the MVP Group Media Bureau, involved in telecoms, media, power, water, infrastructure, hospitals, agriculture and natural resources development.<\/p>\n
He was the President and CEO\u00a0of the Manila office of Weber Shandwick,\u00a0one of the world\u2019s largest and leading full-service public relations firm with offices in every major business and government capital.\u00a0Mike served as Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson during the Administration of former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada. Mike was also the campaign spokesman and Media Bureau director of former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, who ran for president in 2010.<\/p>\n
Mike was a corporate, litigation, labor, intellectual property, and criminal lawyer. He started his legal career at the prestigious Angara, Concepcion, Cruz, Regala and Abello law offices (ACCRA Law). He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and\u00a0 Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines.\u00a0He earned his Master of Laws in Public International Law at the prestigious\u00a0London School of Economics and Political Science\u00a0through a scholarship grant from the British Government. A true product of mining, RON RECIDORO was born and grew up in a mine camp in the mountains of Marinduque where his father worked as a mining engineer. There, he saw how mining was able to transform the community by creating opportunities for education, commerce, and social development; transforming and creating valuable human capital.<\/p>\n
After passing the bar in 1998, Ron found his calling in litigation. First, as a member of the Manalo Puno Jocson & Placido Law Offices, and later as Legal Manager of Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company, one of the oldest and largest gold mining companies in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
He joined the Chamber of Mines in 2011 as Vice President for Legal and Policy, thereby coming full circle: where he once was the beneficiary of mining, he now seeks to give back to the industry by promoting responsible mining and advocating for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable growth in the countryside.<\/p>\n

He has moved around the mining industry, with stints as Director for Public Affairs of TVI Resource Development Philippines, and then as Vice President for Communications of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, of Intex Resources Philippines, Inc., and of Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation.\u00a0 In 2018, he returned to the Chamber of Mines.<\/p>\n
He attended the Management Development Program, with honors, of the Asian Institute of Management and is a recipient of \u201cThe Outstanding Business Administration Graduate\u201d award from the University of Santo Tomas.<\/p>\n
