Mr. Austin graduated from Saint Louis University-Baguio City, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering and placed eight at the 1982 Professional Board Examination for mining engineers. He took his Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2005 and his Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2013.

Mr. Austin has been a Director of PMC and PGPI since June 29, 2011 and was re-elected on June 24, 2015. He became President and Chief Operating Officer on January 1, 2012 and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company on April 3, 2013. He previously served the Company as its Senior Vice President for Operations and Padcal Resident Manager in 2011, Vice President & Resident Manager for Padcal Operations from 2004 to 2010, Mine Division Manager (Padcal) from 1999 to 2003, Engineering Group Manager in 1998 and Mine Engineering & Draw Control Department Manager from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Austin concurrently serves as Director of PXP Energy Corporation and Silangan Mindanao Mining Co., Inc.

He likewise sits on the Board of of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines and Philippine Mineral Safety and Environmental Association (PMSEA) and was Founding President of PSEM’s Philex Chapter. He was recently awarded as the CEO of the year on Mining by The Asset last December 14, 2015 in Hongkong. He was also a recipient of Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Award (APEA) for the Mining Industry by Enterprise Asia in 2016. He was also recognized by the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers as the Most Outstanding Engineer in Mine Management in June 2016.

Atty. Dante R. Bravo is the President of Global Ferronickel Holdings, Inc. (FNI), a publicly listed company in the Philippines. FNI is engaged in mining and is the second largest exporter of nickel ore in the Philippines.

He is also the President of the various wholly-owned subsidiaries of FNI, namely: Platinum Group Metals Corp. (PGMC), PGMC-CNEP Shipping Corporation (PCSC) and Ipilan Nickel Corporation (INC), among others.

He has been with the FNI group since February 2011 starting as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer before becoming President of FNI and its subsidiaries in August 2015.

At present, he is also the President of Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) since 2017, the only nickel miners association in the Philippines.

Prior to his stint in FNI and PNIA, he was a tax and corporate practitioner for 9 years at SGV & Co, the largest auditing firm in the Philippines and a member firm of the Ernst & Young Global.

He was a former tax professor for 10 years in the College of Law of San Beda University.

A Lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Atty. Bravo obtained his Bachelor of Laws at the San Beda University in 2001 where he was ranked 3rd in the graduating class. He was also the 10th placer in the 2001 Philippine Bar examinations, with a rating of 87.95%. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Santo Tomas in 1996 and passed the CPA board licensure examination in the same year.

Mr. Brimo is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nickel Asia Corp and its subsidiary companies and Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee. He is an Independent Director of Security Bank Corporation, Chairman of the Audit Committee, and an Independent Director of Commonwealth Foods Inc. Prior to his career in mining, he worked for Citibank for a period of eight years and was the Vice President in the bank’s Capital Markets Group in Hong Kong before joining Philex Mining Corporation as Vice President-Finance. Mr. Brimo served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Philex Mining Corporation from 1994 until his retirement in December 2003.

He served as President of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines from 1993 to 1995, and as Chairman from 1995 to 2003. He was again elected Chairman in 2017 up to December 2021, and is currently Vice Chairman.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College, USA and his Master of Business Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

Atty. Cattiling is the President and General Manager – Legal and Corporate Affairs of OceanaGold (Philippines), Inc., a subsidiary of OceanaGold Corporation and the Government’s FTAA contractor for the Didipio Mine. She is a member of the Multi-Stakeholder Group of the Philippine Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (PH-EITI) and a Trustee of Diwata-Women in Resource Development, Inc.

A proud Tuwali and Applay, Atty. Cattiling obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication – Major in Journalism and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Philippines, Diliman. She placed 5th in the 2000 Bar examinations, and she worked with SyCip Salazar Hernandez and Gatmaitan, and Mirant (Philippines) Corporation prior to joining OceanaGold in 2007.

Mr. Co is the President and CEO of Carrascal Nickel Corporation.  He is also currently the Chairman, CEO and President of various companies including Aqua Boracay Hotel and Resort Inc., Sturdybuilt Construction and Development Corp., Landstar Earth Moving Corp., Kafugan Mining, Inc., and Grand Asia Metal Corp., and Intermarine Lighterage and Shipping Corp.  He is also a member of the board of Liwayway (Global) Co., Ltd.

He started working at the age of 15 as a salesman in Tondo, Manila and worked his way up in putting up his own and first steel manufacturing business, First Tandem Steel Corporation in 1987.

Mr. Co earned degree units in Adult Computer Literacy at the Informatics Professional Development Center.

Mr. Isidro A. Consunji  (Sid) is a Member of the Board of  Directors of:  D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI), Semirara Mining Corporation, Maynilad Water Services (Maynilad),  DMCI-MPIC Water Company,  Atlas Consolidated Mining and Dev. Corp., Carmen Copper Corp., Sem-Calaca Power Corp. and Chamber of Mines of the Philippines.   He is the Chairman of the Board of:   DMCI Project Developers Inc., DMCI Mining Corp., DMCI Homes, Beta Electric Corp.,   DMCI Holdings, Inc.,  Dacon Corporation and Asia Industries, Inc.

Mr. Consunji was born in Manila on January 15, 1949 with three children.  He graduated from the University of the Philippines, where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He also took up  Master of Business Economics from the Center for Research & Communication and  Master of Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management.  He took up Advanced Management Program at IESE School in Barcelona, Spain.

He became the President of Philippine Constructors Association from 1999-2000 &  Philippine Chamber of Coal Mines, Inc (May, 1999- January 2002).  At present, he is the Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB) and a board member of Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines.

Mr. ConsunjiI  is an active member of the U.P. Beta Epsilon Fraternity, Asian Institute of Management Alumni Association., U. P. Alumni Engineers and U.P. Aces Alumni Association.

Masahiro Kamiya is a Qualified Executive of Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and the incumbent President of Sumitomo Metal Mining Philippine Holdings Corporation, Coral Bay Nickel Corporation, and Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation since June 2019, and is also an Non-Executive Director of Nickel Asia Corporation since August 2018.

Mr. Kamiya held various positions within the Sumitomo Metal Mining Group since he joined the same in April 1982, to include the following: Executive Vice President of CBNC (February 2007 to August 2010), General Manager of the Administration Department of the Taganito Project Division of SMM (September 2010 to June 2014), and President and Representative Director of Hyuga Smelting Co. Ltd. (April 2016 to June 2018). Prior to his most recent assignment in the Philippines, Mr. Kamiya was the Senior Deputy General Manager of Non-Ferrous Metals Division and the General Manager of Copper and Precious Metals Raw Materials Department of the same division of SMM.

Mr. Joaquin C. Lagonera

Mr. Lagonera spent most of his active life in public service. He started his government service in 1986 as Supervising Presidential Staff Officer of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS). Thereafter, he occupied positions in the Office of the President (OP) until 1993, as Presidential Assistant with the rank of Assistant Executive Secretary performing the function of chief of staff of the Executive Secretary (starting with then Executive Secretary Joker P. Arroyo). He represented OP in the boards of MERALCO, Republic Planters Bank and Manila International Airport Authority, among others.

He rejoined government service in 2001 as Undersecretary (Office of the President) and chief of staff of then Executive Secretary Alberto G. Romulo. He was promoted to Senior Deputy Executive Secretary (SDES) with cabinet rank in 2003.   He was given additional responsibility in 2006 as concurrent Head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) dealing directly with the Senate and House of Representatives.

He was appointed Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in March 2010. He represented the department in various government owned and controlled corporations, and chaired the Development and Budget Coordinating Council (DBCC). He left government in July 2010 to go back to the private sector.

He graduated from Ateneo de Manila University in 1981 with a degree in Business Management (Honors Program).  He obtained a Masters degree (1991) in Public Administration at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (USA) and a graduate diploma (1994) in Economics at St. Edmund’s College, Cambridge University (England).

Mr. Yulo E. Perez

President, TVI Resource Development Philippines, Inc.

Mr. Perez is a licensed mining engineer with over 35 years of experience in operations management and project development both in the Philippines and abroad.

Locally, he was previously responsible for commissioning and operating TVIRD’s Canatuan Project: as General Manager for its successful Gold-Silver Operations and as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its Copper-Zinc mine and processing plant.  As TVIRD President, he is responsible for bringing the company’s Balabag Gold-Silver Project on-stream in 2021.

He previously served as President & COO of Silangan Mindanao Mining Company Inc. and as President of Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation.  His overseas experience includes over 13 years with PT International Nickel Indonesia (now PT VALE Indonesia) – where he assumed senior management roles from Chief Mine Engineer to Manager of Mines – and with BHP Iron Ore in Western Australia as Principal Mining Engineer.

Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of the Philippines.

Mr. Adrian Paulino S. Ramos is the President and Director of Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation. He is concurrently the (i) President and Director of Anglo Philippine Holdings Corporation; (ii) Vice-President and Director of Alakor Corporation; (iii) Vice President/CFO of National Bookstore, Inc.; (iv) Director of Carmen Copper Corporation, The Philodrill Corporation, Vulcan Industrial & Mining Corporation and United Paragon Mining Corporation.

He graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management (Honors Program, Cum Laude) and finished a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (with Distinction) from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Mr. Horacio C. Ramos

President, Pacific Nickel Philippines, Inc.

Horacio C. Ramos is the President of Clariden Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiary, Pacific Nickel Philippines, Inc. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for SMC Consolidated Power Corporation starting 2017, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of San Miguel Corporation from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this, Mr. Ramos served extensively at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for several decades, heading a number of major divisions at the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) from 1969 to 1992. Mr. Ramos briefly left the bureau to serve as Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Specialist for the World Bank from 1992 to 1995, after which he subsequently returned to the MGB as its National Director from 1996 to 2010, and ultimately becoming the Secretary of DENR in 2010. During his tenure with the government, Mr. Ramos was also affiliated with the Board of Mining Engineering of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as Examiner from 1982 to 1987, as well as with the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association as Vice-President in multiple terms in 1995 to 2005 and in 2006 to 2010.

He holds the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology in 1967, a Graduate Diploma in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1976, and a Master of Engineering in Mining Engineering also from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1978.

As a mining engineering professional, Mr. Ramos has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including the Most Outstanding Professional for Mining Engineering by the PRC in 1999; as one of the Ten Outstanding Mining Engineers by the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers (PSEM) in 1996; and as Outstanding Alumni for Mining Engineer in 1996 and Most Outstanding Alumni in 2010, both conferred by the Mapúa Institute of Technology. For his exemplary service to the government, he is also highly regarded with a number of recognitions, such as the Order of Lakandula (Rank of Bayani) conferred by H.E. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2010; Ang Minero Award by the PMSEA in 2010; and the Hall of Fame Award for topping the Regional Performance Evaluation from 1988 to 1990, as well as the Likas YamanAward (Outstanding Leadership Administration), and Eagle Award (Most Outstanding Regional Director) in 1989, all of which were conferred by the DENR.

He was elected to the PSE Board in 2022 and was appointed to the Capital Market Development Committee. He is the Nominee of Armstrong Securities. Inc.

Mr. Te is the Chairman of Amalgamated Project Management Services, Inc., AE Proteina Industries, Inc., Asian Asset Insurance with Brokerage Corp. (also serves as Soliciting Official), Asian Appraisal Company Inc. Mr. Te also sits as the Chairman and President of Cymac Holdings Corporation. Since 1999, he has been the Chairman and Chief Financial Officer at Mactel Corp. In 2021, he became the Principal in MNM Capital OPC. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Te was an Independent Director at Equitable PCI Bank. He was also a Director and Treasurer at PAL Holdings, Inc. from 2000 to 2003. Mr. Te was also a Director at Balabac Resources & Holdings Co., Inc., EBECOM Holdings, Inc., MRC Allied Industries, Inc., Oriental Petroleum & Minerals Corp., PGA Cars, Inc., and Phoenix Energy Corp. Atty. Michael ” Mike” Toledo is the Chief Operating Officer of Silangan Mindanao Mining Company Inc. (SMMCI), a 2 billion dollar copper and gold project in Surigao Del Norte and was the Senior Vice President for Public and Regulatory Affairs of Philex Mining Corp. He is also the head for Government and Public Affairs of the Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) and head of the MVP Group Media Bureau, involved in telecoms, media, power, water, infrastructure, hospitals, agriculture and natural resources development.

He was the President and CEO of the Manila office of Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s largest and leading full-service public relations firm with offices in every major business and government capital. Mike served as Press Secretary and Presidential Spokesperson during the Administration of former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada. Mike was also the campaign spokesman and Media Bureau director of former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, who ran for president in 2010.

Mike was a corporate, litigation, labor, intellectual property, and criminal lawyer. He started his legal career at the prestigious Angara, Concepcion, Cruz, Regala and Abello law offices (ACCRA Law). He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and  Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines. He earned his Master of Laws in Public International Law at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science through a scholarship grant from the British Government. He was accepted at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 1993.

Atty. Toledo writes a regular column in The Philippine Star and is also a Host of One News Channel’s “Titans” on Cignal TV.

Mr. Bryan U. Yap has been the President and COO of Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company since 2003 and of Manila Mining Corporation since 2011. He is also the President of Kalayaan Copper-Gold Resources, Inc.; Lepanto Investment and Development Corporation (LIDC); Shipside, Inc.; Diamond Drilling Corporation of the Philippines and Diamant Manufacturing and Trading Corporation (DMTC).  He is also a director and vice chairman of Far Southeast Gold Resources, Inc.  and a director of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines. He is a member of the Makati Business Club and the Management Association of the Philippines.

Mr. Yap obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia. He attended the Mining Executive Development Program of the University of Technology-Western Australia School of Mines in 2002.

Martin Antonio G. Zamora is the President and CEO of Nnickel Asia Corporation (NAC), the Philippines’ largest exporter of lateritic nickel ore and one of the largest in the world.

He received his BSc in Management from Ateneo de Manila University and earned his MBA from London Business School.  He also holds a Master’s in Organizational Psychology from INSEAD.

Prior to joining NAC, Mr. Zamora served as Country Manager and Director of UPC Renewables, a global developer, owner and operator of wind farms and solar facilities; he also spent ten years working for finance and investment banking firms such as CLSA, Robert Fleming & Co., Jardin Fleming, and SGV & Co.
