A true product of mining, RON RECIDORO was born and grew up in a mine camp in the mountains of Marinduque where his father worked as a mining engineer. There, he saw how mining was able to transform the community by creating opportunities for education, commerce, and social development; transforming and creating valuable human capital.
After passing the bar in 1998, Ron found his calling in litigation. First, as a member of the Manalo Puno Jocson & Placido Law Offices, and later as Legal Manager of Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company, one of the oldest and largest gold mining companies in the Philippines.
He joined the Chamber of Mines in 2011 as Vice President for Legal and Policy, thereby coming full circle: where he once was the beneficiary of mining, he now seeks to give back to the industry by promoting responsible mining and advocating for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable growth in the countryside.

He has moved around the mining industry, with stints as Director for Public Affairs of TVI Resource Development Philippines, and then as Vice President for Communications of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, of Intex Resources Philippines, Inc., and of Marcventures Mining and Development Corporation. In 2018, he returned to the Chamber of Mines.
