The Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, in partnership with the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), will hold its 1stDigging Deeper Lecture Series with the theme “Making Choices: A Roadmap for Value Adding in the Mining Industry “ on March 27, 2019, from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM at the Jade Room, 4thfloor, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
Our quarterly “Digging Deeper: The Chamber of Mines’ Lecture Series” will feature presentations/lectures by known experts in the field of geological, mining, metallurgical, chemical and process engineering to inform and help professionals succeed in their roles applying best practices and improving organizational and operational outcomes in their companies and organizations. It will also showcase the best content from scientific and managerial experts with the latest techniques in science and policy related issues affecting the industry.
For our 1st Digging Deeper Lecture Series, we have invited the following speakers:
- Roberto Cola, President of Philippine Iron and Steel Institute to discuss the iron and steel roadmap developed by the PISI and DTI;
- Agustin Fudolig, Executive Director for Technical Services, Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) and Engr. Juancho Pablo Calvez, Chief Metallurgist, Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), to discuss “Technical and Financial Feasibility Study to Determine the most Suitable Ironmaking Technology for the Value-Adding of Philippine Magnetite Resources”, and
- Wilfredo Moncano, Director of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, to discuss the MGB perspective on policy issues affecting the feasibility of value-adding of Philippine mineral resources”.
